From
its highly-polished, solid brass reflector to its
heavy solid brass pull chain ball, the Model OB-BR
Antique Electric Meter Lamp exudes uncommon quality
and pride of craftsmanship throughout.
Snap
on either of its dual operating switches and
transport yourself back to the early days of
electricity as you
watch the meter's slowly-rotating brass gears
record the electricity consumed by the lamp's bulb.
The bulb, in turn,
lights up its own recording mechanism and bathes
the immediate area in a soft, warm glow....a glow
reminiscent of the kerosene lantern made
obsolete when this same, original meter likely
calculated some long-ago home owner's first
electric bill.
